Managing Others

Our team-management programs are designed for all professionals that on regular basis manage people, going from leadership trainings for business people to neuroscience trainings for coaches. The main focus of our team-management programs is on receiving powerful insights into the processes in your brain in interaction with others, understanding and recognising the state of mind of others and learning how to optimally deal with these. Our programs focus on applying the brain rules under which the brain operates to successfully manage, lead and coach others.

One cannot lead others before being in charge of oneself. Therefore, we also recommend our self-management programs for people in a leadership position.

NeuroIntelligent & Mindful Leadership

This leadership development program focuses on the creation of healthy high performance teams and building trust from a neuroscientific perspective.

Performance equals potential minus our interferences. These inferences are in many cases related to stress, dealing with pressure, negative emotions and detrimental impulses. From neuroscience, we know now which brain systems are involved in our potential and which ones are driving our interferences. This program brings you to a new understanding of what is positively and negatively driving performance. Different techniques will be applied to guide your team to regulate unproductive states of mind, with the main target to reach a balanced state of mind, in which your team can excel and yet retain their energy and capacity. These low-cost techniques will be trained to apply in daily life with immediate effects on performance, with the ultimate goal to reach highest potential of your team.

Successfully engaging your team, convincing a potential client or building up a new cooperation starts with gaining trust. Trust is a crucial building stone that makes the foundation of a strong cooperation, yet is one of the hardest components to control. This training gives you a totally new perspective on your understanding of what trust is – the perspective of your brain. The target of this training is to come to an understanding of the state in which the brain more easily trusts, and how to influence the state of the brain of others to increase your influential power. You will learn how to apply specific brain rules that need to be taken into account to guide the brain from an ‘alert’ state into a ‘trust’ state in others.

Content

  • Which emotional and cognitive processes are driving performance, and how are these two processes controlled in the brain?
  • Why does the brain have limitations and what is going on in the brain when all resources are used? Which strategies are effective for my brain to regain control and ability to perform?
  • What is going on in the brain of my team during social interactions, especially when I am trying to convey a message or to influence my team, a potential client or cooperation partner?
  • How do I recognize specific states of brain in the ones that I am trying to convince and what is the effect of my actions on their state of brain?
  • How do I bring my team from an ‘alert’ state to a ‘trust’ state, in which they more easily trust me and cooperate?

Burnout prevention - A Neuroscience Perspective

Burnout is frequently related to the inability to say no, the inability to regulate negative emotions and/or related to dealing with stress in a maladaptive way. Neuroscience has provided us with crucial insights into the brain systems that are involved in the regulation of negative emotions and stress. This program focuses on the rules under which the brain operates with respect to regulating emotions and stress in a healthy way, with maximal preservation of cognitive capabilities and performance.

Neuroscience for coaches

This training was awarded as the best workshop for coaches by the International Coach Federation at the Summer University 2013

Neuroscience has immensely expanded the last decade and has provided us with crucial insights into why we behave the way we do. Understanding the brain provides coaches with a fundamental understanding of human dynamics, which significantly contributes to the success of a coach. Coaching is all about change – in thoughts, feelings and behavior. The understanding of how the major drivers of our behavior originate in the brain and under which brain rules behavioral changes take place immensely help the coaching process. Besides these practical applications, the scientific background of your coaching praxis will greatly contribute to the motivation of people to change and to believe in the effectiveness of coaching, particularly for people in a business context. The scientific perspective can de-mystify our internal life and make a behavioral change more accessible.
